Kellyville Pets is one of Australia's largest specialist reptile stores and was the first shop in NSW to have live reptiles available. Our Reptile Department has literally hundreds of reptiles on display, housed in naturally landscaped enclosures and vivariums. We have a wide range of species available including bearded dragons, blue-tongue lizards, many species of python, geckos and salamanders. Our Reptile Department also specialises in invertebrates and has an extensive range including tarantulas, scorpions, giant burrowing cockroaches, giant millipedes and centipedes, beetles, stick insects, hermit crabs and much more. We can cater for beginners and first time reptile keepers through to experienced reptile enthusiasts.
What makes our Reptile Department even more unique is our team of specialist staff. Our highly experienced staff are all passionate reptile keepers and breeders themselves, having kept and bred numerous species of reptile, invertebrate and amphibian for many decades. Our staff come from zoo keeping backgrounds, manage their own large personal collections, are involved in reptile research and have a range of degrees and qualifications. Our team also works closely with government bodies to continuously strive to improve the welfare standards of reptiles kept as pets in NSW.
All of our reptiles available for sale come with a 14 day Health Guarantee and 7 day Cooling Off Period as part of our standard policies and procedures. Our reptiles also go home with a Feeding Guarantee and include a complete feeding and shedding record along with a hatch date and are sexed (wherever possible). We also breed, incubate and hatch many reptiles in-store, so that we can educate people about these fascinating and unique animals.
Purchasing a reptile in NSW requires you to hold a current reptile keepers licence. A reptile license costs approximately $60 for 2 years and any Class 1 reptile species can be kept on this permit. A companion reptile keepers licence can also be obtained costing $45 for 5 years, however only one individual animal can be kept on this licence. Reptile Licences can be obtained online prior to coming in store (it takes approximately 15-20 minutes to complete the online Application) at OneGov.
Please also note that due to animal welfare we do not ship reptiles. We are situated about 45 minutes drive from Sydney CBD.
